Fluoride: Who finances the Research?

In the 1940's people involved in the Manhattan project (a project designed to make uranium hexafluoride gas and fluoroorganic lubricants for metal bearings and other fluorine containing materials) and other fluoride-waste producing industries such as the Aluminum industry, used epidemiological studies to promote water fluoridation for tooth decay prevention, as a way of disposing of their own toxic waste (1), these studies have since been discredited (2).  In fact, none of these or later studies ever followed dental or medical outcomes of fluoride consumption over the long term, an intrinsic  flaw found in many of the medical trials today as well.

• Allied Chemical
• Phosphate fertilizer industry

All reap great profits from water fluoridation, selling 155 000 tons of fluoride by-products per year for water fluoridation, rather than disposing of them at an expense. (4)
